✦ How a move clean actually works
What a move clean actually means.
Move cleans run differently to every other job we do. Here's exactly how it works before you book, so there are no surprises during the week you can least afford them.
Move-out cleans are for empty homes only
If the property still has furniture, boxes or belongings in it, we can't perform a true move-out clean — the scope depends on reaching inside every cabinet, closet and appliance. In that case we'll change the job to a deep clean and give you an updated flat quote before anyone starts work.
The home must be empty
A move-out clean is scoped for a completely empty property — inside every cabinet, drawer, closet and appliance. If belongings are still in the home, we can't reach what the clean is priced around, so we'd switch it to a deep clean and re-quote before we start.
We need your exact move date
Give us the real handover date, not a rough week. Junk pickup, paint touch-ups, carpets and the clean all get sequenced backwards from it so the home is finished before keys change hands.
Lockbox access, no meet-up
Most move cleans run on a lockbox. Don't have one? We'll drop one off, you leave the key inside, and you never have to coordinate a hand-off during your move week.
Overnight crews on empty homes
Because the property is empty, our overnight teams can work through the night and have it finished by morning. It keeps daytime crews free for occupied homes and gives everyone more flexibility.
Walk-through video when we're done
Once the move-out clean is complete we send over video of the finished home, so you or your agent can sign off without driving back across town.
A dedicated account coordinator
Every move-out clean is assigned a coordinator — one named person who owns your job. Questions, schedule changes, extra services or anything flagged goes straight through them.
One quote, one company
Everything the move needs, billed together.
Cleaning is usually only half of it. We also handle painting, small repairs, lock changes, junk removal and carpet cleaning on the same job — quoted as one flat price, scheduled by one coordinator, invoiced by one company. No chasing four vendors.

Why bundle it
Moves are brutal. They shouldn't be a project-management job too.
Most clients don't realise they can hand the whole back-end of their move to one vendor. We schedule the junk truck, line up the carpet crew, send our cleaners, touch up the walls and walk the home with your agent — all before key handover. You get one timeline, one bill, one person to text.

✦ How the week runs
From booking to keys handed over.
A typical move concierge stretches across a week. Here's how we sequence it so nothing collides.
Step 1
One call, one plan
Tell us your move date and what you need — cleaning, carpets, junk, paint. We build a single coordinated plan with a single flat quote.
Step 2
Junk pickup & paint touch-ups
We come in ahead of cleaning day to clear unwanted furniture, haul anything you're not taking, and knock out paint touch-ups so walls are dry by clean day.
Step 3
Move-out / move-in clean
Full empty-home detail clean — every cabinet, appliance, baseboard, vent, grout line. Carpet cleaning runs the same day where possible.
Step 4
Final walk-through
We walk the home with you (or your agent) before keys change hands. If anything's flagged, we re-clean — no charge.
✦ Common questions
Before you book.
Does the home have to be empty for a move-out clean?
Yes. A true move-out clean is only done on a completely empty property — no furniture, no boxes, nothing in the closets. If there are still belongings in the home, we can't reach the surfaces the clean is scoped around, so we'd switch it to a deep clean instead and re-quote accordingly.
Why do you need my exact move date?
The clean is sequenced around your handover. We need the exact move-in or move-out date so junk removal, paint touch-ups, carpets and the clean itself land in the right order and the home is finished before keys change hands.
How does the lockbox work?
Almost every move clean runs on a lockbox. If you don't have one, we drop one off, you leave the key inside, and we handle the rest. Nobody has to meet us on-site during the busiest week of your move.
Do you really clean overnight?
Often, yes. Empty homes are ideal for our overnight teams — no one is inconvenienced, the home is done by morning, and it keeps our daytime crews free for occupied homes. It gives everyone more scheduling flexibility.
Can I really book cleaning, junk removal, carpets and paint touch-ups all at once?
Yes — that's the whole point of our move-in/move-out concierge. One quote, one schedule, one team to call. We coordinate the crews so you're not chasing three different vendors during the most stressful week of the year.
Do I need to be home?
Not at all. Most of our move clients hand us the keys or a lockbox code. We'll send before/after photos, a walk-through video on request, and confirm completion in writing.
What if my real estate agent flags something?
We re-clean — no charge, no questions. Our move-out cleans are built around real-estate inspection checklists, but if anyone catches something we missed, we come back.
How does junk removal pricing work?
Junk removal is quoted flat, based on volume and item type (mattresses, appliances and TVs carry extra disposal fees by law). We donate or recycle whatever we can and provide receipts on request.
Can you handle a hoarder home or post-tenant disaster?
Yes, but we'll need to walk it (or see photos / a video) before quoting. These jobs need different equipment, PPE and disposal — but we do them, and we still quote flat.
Is this same as your recurring or deep clean?
No. Move cleans are scoped for empty homes — inside cabinets, drawers and appliances — which we don't do on recurring or standard deep cleans. See the recurring or deep-clean pages for those checklists.
How we bill
One flat price for the job. No hourly clock. No surprise charges.
We use the size, condition and details of your home to estimate how long it takes — then quote that as a flat rate. Once your price is confirmed, it doesn't change on the day of service.
Flat rate, not hourly
We estimate the time a home like yours takes, then lock that in as one flat price. If the job runs long, that's on us — your price doesn't move.
We call to confirm scope
No two homes — or homeowners — are the same. Some want blinds wet-dusted and baseboards spotless, others are fine with a light dust. We ask before we quote so the number is right.
The instant quote is an estimate
Our online tool gets you close in seconds. It becomes your final flat rate once you've spoken with a real person and been matched with a provider.
✦ 24-hour guarantee
If we miss something major, we come back — free.
Tell us within 24 hours and we'll return to make it right. It covers real misses, not a stray speck of dust.
Covered
A room or bathroom that was skipped
Blinds, baseboards or surfaces clearly not touched
Obvious leftover dirt, grime or soap scum
A checklist item that plainly wasn't done
Not covered
A few specks of dust or a stray hair
Minor touch-ups after normal daily use
Deep build-up that needs a separate treatment
Areas we couldn't access or were asked to skip
Every home is different. A first clean gets a home most of the way there — it often takes more than one visit before a home settles into an easy maintenance rhythm.
