✦ About us ✦
Putting the power back in the homeowner's hands.
Hiring a cleaner shouldn't be a gamble. Fancy Pants is owner-operated: trained people, written standards, and one phone number that always reaches a human.
✦ Why we exist
Most "cleaning companies" never clean anything.
A lot of slick new cleaning brands are lead generators. You fill out a pretty form, they take a deposit, and your address gets pushed to a marketplace of 1099 contractors — whoever taps "accept" first is the person walking into your home. No shared training, no checklist, no one accountable when it goes wrong.
We built the opposite. Same trained cleaner, flat price, and an owner whose name is on it.

✦ Our story
The person behind it, and the name behind it.

Joseph Lindsay, the guy behind the bottle.
I've spent years working inside other people's businesses — warehouses, retail, marketing and development, operations. Each one taught me something different about how a company actually runs day to day.
Then I spent about a year with a cleaning company, and that year taught me exactly what I never wanted to build. It was set up around squeezing the people doing the work: the cheapest price for the client, the thinnest possible pay for the cleaner. Good business isn't a race to the bottom — it's a balance. The company has to be healthy, the cleaners have to be paid fairly, and the client has to get a price that genuinely makes sense. Take any one of those away and the whole thing falls over.
A lot of how I think traces back to being classically educated through Classical Conversations. It wasn't memorizing answers — it was logic, rhetoric, and reading the philosophies people build their lives on, then being asked to defend or dismantle them out loud. You learn quickly that "that's just how it's done" is not a reason. Question the status quo, follow the why all the way down, and build from there. That's how every part of this company gets designed: the training, the checklist, the pay, the pricing. If I can't explain the reason behind it, it doesn't stay.
I'm not smothered in corporate greed, and I never want to be. Plenty of companies get curated around one person's upside — I'm building the opposite: something that works for the cleaners, the homeowners, and the business at the same time. Fair pay isn't a marketing line here, it's the load-bearing wall.
Honesty and transparency are the rest of it. You'll always know what you're paying, why you're paying it, and who is walking into your home. If something's wrong, I'll tell you before you have to ask.
